As part of the organizational work of the May First Technology Infrastructure and Services working group, we will review exemplary projects and strategies for documentation and education to later apply these lessons to the renewal of May First’s documentation and didactic materials.

La Milpa Digital is a publication/platform for documentation and didactic materials based on the principles of popular education. It is designed to provide basic information about free software digital tools that allow social movement organizations to practice greater autonomy and self-management.

The Puerto Rican Socialist Party - an oral history

During the 1970’s the Puerto Rican Socialist Party was the largest and most powerful Puerto Rican revolutionary organization in the U.S. and a major force within the U.S. Left. A recently published book, written by people involved in the PSP then, offers a lesson-filled oral history of the organization and its work. This Need to Know features some of those people.

This is an event every person interested in changing this country should attend. The lessons of that period and that organization are of great value today.
