May 1 to 6: The World Social Forum Mexico 2022 is close

We are in the midst of an intense political moment with discussions ranging from the role of financial and military powers, to the stewardship of the state in the management of natural resources versus corporations. In addition, high inflation on a worldwide scale and a shrinking global economy that seems to be regionalizing, while “the end of globalization” is beginning to be pronounced.

In Mexico, unprecedented discussions have arisen in the public agenda. Among them, the revocation of the presidential mandate, the attempt for agricultural and food sovereignty, the development of the country with an anti-neoliberal intention, but with a reactive right wing willing to do anything to maintain its privileges.

As in other Latin American countries, there are risks, contradictions and insufficiencies of change for the struggles. Perhaps around the world things are not very different. Although there are powerful social movements, it seems that our struggles are not connecting enough and still have a marginal role in the direction of social change.

That is why we believe that articulation is essential, we need to be infected by the energy of our resistances and alternatives, we need to discuss the change we want and how we should promote it. Within the World Social Forum in Mexico 2022, May First Movement Technology will be participating in several important activities.
